Art

At St Peter’s, we believe that Art stimulates creativity and imagination - enabling children to communicate what they see, feel and think through the elements of line, shape, colour, form, texture and space.

Our opportunities provide visual, tactile and sensory experiences, and give children a special way of understanding and responding to the world.

We have adopted the Access Art scheme of work that consists of 36 pathways for Years 1 to 6, designed to inspire and enable high quality visual arts teaching and learning.

The scheme is designed around the idea that art is far more than a series of technical skills, and this holistic curriculum nurtures creative thinking skills and helps ensure your pupils learn through art, as well as about art.

If you have any questions about our Art curriculum at St Peter's, please get in touch via admin@st-peters.towerhamlets.sch.uk - with the subject 'Art Questions'.
