Our Church
We are proud of our shared history and, today, Church and School enjoy close working relations just as they have done ever since the beginning.
St Peter's, London Docks is the Church of England Parish Church of Wapping, covering the district from the Tower of London to the Prospect of Whitby. The northern boundary is the Highway and the Thames on the south. All who live or work in the parish have a rightful claim on the pastoral and sacramental ministry of St Peter's.
St Peter's was established in 1856 as an Anglo-Catholic mission. It was the first 'Home Mission' in England i.e. a mission to serve the people of this country rather than overseas. The parish has remained faithful to this founding vision through to the present day.
Since the beginning, children and families have been an important part of the greater parish family of St Peter's and we are active in the life of St Peter’s London Docks Primary school.
St Peter's is proud to be a member of the Society of St Wilfrid and St Hilda.
Our Bishop is the Bishop of Fulham, and Jonathan Baker.
